The project “aGREENculture – Green Transition Professional Of The Agricultural Sector” aims to explore the requirements addressed by the European Green Deal (EGD) and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for the so called green transition.
In the EU, the green transition is accepted as a challenge or opportunity to create new jobs in current and emerging economic sectors. Consequently, there is a need for new skills or upskilling existing ones to achieve a green and digital transition and to promote green occupations. Training in green skills will result in professionals who can implement sustainable agricultural practices, the same time reduce environmental impact, conserve natural resources, and enhance their overall efficiency. In this proposal the main focus is Organic farming, precision agriculture and circular economy.
The involved countries of this proposal will implement the following activities:
– Curriculum for the Green Transition Professional in the Agricultural Sector, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices, green technologies, and skills need
– Training material development
– Training of Trainers (ToT) a critical mass of potential trainers (35 people)
The expected project results will be:
– The curriculum, which will be a point of reference for the development of training courses and identification / classification of green skills at country level for the involved countries.
– The training material classifying essential green skills to be rescheduled in the agricultural sector or probably develop new ones
– The training course (ToT) a critical mass of 35 trainees who will communicate and train the stakeholders of the sector.
