Barbara Sarnari is an experienced project manager and Vice President of SVI.MED with extensive experience in environmental and sustainability project management. With a degree in Mathematics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, she has developed technical and operational skills in areas such as energy transition, sustainable management of water resources and development of sustainable tourism models.
Since 2017, she has been coordinating projects funded by programmes such as LIFE, Interreg, Horizon Europe, ENI CBC MED and Erasmus+, focusing on sustainable mobility, nature-based solutions and the integration of unconventional water resources. She has been responsible for innovative initiatives such as PULMì and URWAN, and has contributed to the dissemination of best practice models for tourism and environmental management in the Mediterranean.
Barbara combines strong project planning skills with a strategic vision focused on sustainability and urban regeneration. In 2015 and 2016, she was project officer for the Joint Technical Secretariat of the Sicilian Region within the ENPI Italy-Tunisia programme, with coordination and monitoring functions of the projects financed in the period 2007/13.
